How many days after menstruation is ovulation

Ovulation occurs approximately 7-9 days after menstruation and lasts approximately 3 days. For women of childbearing age with a normal menstrual cycle of 28 days, the day of menstruation is the first day of the menstrual cycle and the 14th day is the day of ovulation. Since the egg survives in the body for 12-24 hours after ovulation and the sperm can survive for about 72 hours after entering the body, the three days before and after ovulation have a chance of conception, so this period is called the ovulation period. According to most women’s menstrual period is about 5-7 days, the ovulation period is 7-9 days after the end of the menstrual period, which usually lasts about 1 week. Women who need to prepare for pregnancy can use the ovulation period to have intercourse to increase their chances of conception. However, women with irregular menstrual cycles and ovulation disorders cannot use their normal menstrual cycles to predict the day of ovulation and the ovulation period. It is recommended to visit the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital and if you need to prepare for pregnancy, ultrasound can be performed to monitor ovulation.
