The treatment of fungal infection of nails, i.e. gray nails, includes general treatment, medication and, if necessary, surgery.
1. General treatment: keep nails clean, don’t share daily necessities with family and friends, such as towels, washbasins, footbasins, etc., often use nail clippers to trim diseased nails, but don’t cause local damage.
2. Drug treatment: due to the presence of fungal infections, can be used externally antifungal drug treatment, such as clotrimazole ointment, etc., if necessary, but also oral medication, such as itraconazole.
3. Surgery: For particularly severe gray nails, when the above treatments are not satisfactory, surgical treatment, such as nail extraction, should also be carried out.
During the treatment period, you should follow the doctor’s instructions, rational use of medication, not indiscriminate use of drugs.
