Early spring sports cause Achilles tendon ruptures to “pile up”

Within a week, six patients with Achilles tendon rupture were admitted to the Department of Sports Medicine of Wuhan Puai Hospital, all of them were young and strong badminton fans who suddenly developed a ruptured heel “snap” sound, pain and difficulty in lifting the heel while playing ball. The skin is intact and the painful swelling gradually increases. Within a short period of time “Achilles tendon rupture” patients “pile up”, experts suggest: early spring sports, should do a good job of warming up, gradually increase the intensity of exercise. The Achilles tendon is one of the thickest tendons in the body, mainly responsible for plantarflexion of the foot to complete the heel, tiptoe, jumping and other actions. Manual laborers, sports enthusiasts, and athletes are prone to injury to the Achilles tendon. Most of them are chronic Achilles tendon strain, Achilles tendonitis, Achilles tendon calcification, etc. These people are prone to “Achilles tendon rupture” when jumping and landing with sudden force, so they should actively treat chronic Achilles tendon disease. You can improve the blood supply to the Achilles tendon and restore elasticity through massage, herbal baths, local medication, wearing shoes with a sloping heel or minimally invasive surgery, etc. At the same time, you should avoid multiple Achilles tendon “closure” treatments. In early spring, the temperature is so warm but still cold that the functions of the human motor system have not been fully awakened from the winter rest state, so it is important to warm up and stretch the muscles and ligaments before exercising to avoid the pain caused by sports injuries.
