How to treat hiccups in newborns

Hiccups in newborns are mostly due to irritation of the phrenic nerve, which is generally benign and self-limiting and does not require special treatment. Causes of hiccups: 1. improper care, so that the child is cold; 2. improper feeding, eating too much or eating too cold; 3. too rapid milk intake or frightened during the milk intake process. After hiccups occur: 1. drink some hot water and keep your child warm; 2. don’t eat too much, feed your child in small portions, then burp in time and take a break in the middle of eating; 3. don’t let your child lie down immediately after eating milk and don’t shake him or her at will, you can use toys to tease or play soft and soothing music to divert your child’s attention.
