Treatment options for refractory and recurrent cases of acute gonorrhea are limited, and outcomes are unsatisfactory. Since 2011, however, the efficacy of CART cells in this group of patients has been widely noted, with remission rates of over 90%, a previously unimaginable goal. In fact, for this group of patients, the treatment of choice after induction therapy is most likely no longer chemotherapy, but CART cells! The refractory relapsed cases treated with CART at our institution that have failed with other methods have essentially achieved complete remission. CART is likely to replace chemotherapy as the standard of care. It eliminates the toxic effects that chemotherapy brings to patients. It reduces medical costs and reduces the incidence of infection. In every way, there are specific and irreplaceable advantages.
