Some suggestions for ACL injuries

  My mentor, Professor Kang Yifan, chief physician of joint surgery at Changhai Hospital of the Second Military Medical University, a well-known expert in sports medicine, offers the following suggestions to friends: 1. Do a good warm-up before strenuous exercise, all joints should be active and open, and do protective measures to reduce the risk of sports injuries. You should choose a physical fitness program that suits you.  2, do not ignore potential “internal injuries” when knee trauma occurs, if the knee joint “ringing, pain, swelling, restriction” and other symptoms, should promptly go to the sports medicine specialist clinic.  3. MRI is an extremely effective test, despite its high cost. You should not delay your condition to save money.  4. The choice of surgical materials is up to the patient, and the doctor only provides advice based on the patient’s specific situation. If a patient loves sports and considers sports as his life, then artificial ligament may be more suitable for him.  5. Post-operative rehabilitation is a very important process, and a good surgery is only the beginning of success. The degree of recovery of knee function depends on the patient’s own perseverance.
