Intestinal carbuncle (carbuncle occurring in intestinal organs, manifested by fever, right abdominal pain and palpable mass) is classified into stasis, damp-heat and heat-toxicity syndromes in Chinese medicine, and needs to be treated with rhubarb and moutan soup combined with hongteng, compound dai chai hu soup, rhubarb and moutan soup combined with pus-transmitting powder according to the type of syndromes. 1. Damp-heat syndrome: clinical symptoms include increased abdominal pain, right lower abdomen or whole abdomen pressure, rebound pain, abdominal muscle tension, palpable mass in the right lower abdomen, accompanied by strong heat, nausea, nausea and vomiting, etc. It can be treated by adding and subtracting Da Chaihu Tang with compound formula. 3. Heat-toxicity syndrome: mainly manifested as severe abdominal pain, abdominal pressure, rebound pain, abdominal muscle tension, accompanied by high fever or chills (fear of cold) fever, nausea, reduced diet, constipation or stools, etc.; rhubarb and peony soup combined with pus-transparency can be given to treat.
