What is the best way to treat pain in the cheek?

Pain in the cheek can be caused by inflammation or tumours of the parotid gland, temporomandibular joint disorders, inflammation of the lymph nodes in front of the ear and under the cheek, and can be seen in different departments depending on the symptoms or medical history.
If a patient has been in contact with a patient with mumps and presents with significant parotid enlargement, swelling and pain, they should be seen in the Infection Unit.
If a patient presents with symptoms such as pain in the joint areas of the temporomandibular, abnormal jaw movement, or swelling in the cheek and swollen lymph nodes, they should be seen in the Head and Neck Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, and Stomatology departments.
