Pharmacologic liver damage, also known as pharmacologic liver injury, refers to different degrees of liver damage caused by drugs or their metabolites after the use of a certain type of drug or several types of drugs. 1. The manifestations of liver damage appear within 4 weeks after drug use and within 6 months of disease duration. 2. All serologic indicators of viral hepatitis are negative, and liver damage caused by other etiologies can be excluded. 3. The first incidence may have signs of allergy such as rash, fever and itching. 4. The percentage of peripheral blood eosinophils >6%. 5. There are clinical signs of intrahepatic cholestasis or hepatocellular damage. 6. Occasional re-exposure to the administration of the drug and the occurrence of liver damage. The presence of 1 or 2 of the above plus any 2 of 3 to 6 is diagnostic of drug-induced liver damage.
