How long after myomectomy can I get pregnant? This is a common question asked by many women with fertility needs. This question requires a case-by-case analysis. The uterine wall is divided into the innermost mucosal layer, the outermost plasma layer and the middle myometrium. In general, the more fibroids are removed, the closer the mucosal layer is to the uterus, the more damage is done to the myometrium and the longer the postoperative period of contraception is required. For submucosal fibroids with tissues, since they are located outside the uterus, they do not affect the uterine wall after removal, so there is no need to wait after surgery and the patient can get pregnant after recovery; for submucosal fibroids with tissues, if the damage is less if the surgery is performed via cavity or hysteroscopy, pregnancy can also be considered after recovery; for interstitial fibroids with less damage to the myometrium during myomectomy, contraception should be used for 4-6 months after myomectomy.
