What’s going on with vaginal itching and bleeding?

The most common cause of vaginal itching with bleeding is trichomoniasis, which is caused by trichomonas infection. Trichomonas infection causes a large number of bleeding spots in the vaginal mucosa, which can lead to bleeding due to the rupture of capillaries in these bleeding spots. Since trichomoniasis can cause not only inflammatory reactions with local redness, swelling, heat and pain, but also allergic reactions to the vaginal mucosa, the vagina can become itchy. If there is not much bleeding, treatment with metronidazole is recommended. Metronidazole suppositories can be inserted into the vagina once a day for 7 days, and oral metronidazole tablets are recommended for treatment. It is also recommended to rule out the possibility of Candida vaginitis and to have a routine test of the leukorrhea to determine the pathogenic bacteria before administering medication.
