How long can you live after aneurysm surgery?

The survival time after aneurysm surgery is related to the extent of the aneurysm, the presence of comorbidities and the treatment of the aneurysm, and needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. Aneurysms are not tumors by nature, and most aneurysms are benign. If the patient does not have severe bleeding or serious impairment of brain tissue function, and if there are no serious complications after active treatment, and if the medication is taken strictly in accordance with medical advice after surgery, the patient’s life is usually not affected and is no different from that of a normal person. Untreated aneurysms, especially those larger than 6 cm in diameter, have a very high mortality rate and are prone to aortic coarctation, leading to vessel rupture and a lower three-year survival rate for patients. Patients with aneurysms should eat light, easily digestible, high-quality protein and nutritious food after surgery, while keeping their bowels open and maintaining nutrients and various micronutrients.
