Theoretically, it is possible to contract HIV through oral sex. This is because HIV is mainly found in vaginal secretions, semen, blood as well as breast milk, chest and abdominal fluid, and cerebrospinal fluid of AIDS patients. If there is significant bleeding in the mouth and throat, fresh blood and genital secretions can cause HIV infection through wounds. However, HIV infection through oral sex is less likely than HIV infection through direct sexual intercourse. So to really avoid contracting HIV clinically, it is important to eliminate high-risk sexual behavior.
