Some of the conditions that trigger anal swelling are related to gynaecology, and if a patient has a combination of pelvic floor hernia contents, a posterior uterus, advanced cervical cancer and other compressive conditions with a sensation of anal swelling, they need to be seen in gynaecology, but in the absence of a clear cause, a visit to the anal surgery department is usually recommended.
