Central placenta praevia is a condition in which the embryo is low in the lower part of the uterus, where it grows and develops, and the placenta covers the entire cervix, which is dangerous and may cause hemorrhage in late pregnancy and cannot be delivered vaginally. During a cesarean delivery, the lower part of the uterus does not contract well and the placenta is attached to the lower part of the uterus, making it easy for the placenta to implant or hemorrhage, sometimes requiring a total hysterectomy to stop the bleeding. Therefore, placenta praevia, especially the central one, is a high-risk pregnancy and regular pregnancy checkups are necessary and hospitalization is required in the late stages of pregnancy.
