The functional recovery period of Achilles tendon rupture is mainly after the wound has completely healed and the immobilization cast has been removed after surgery. The main features of the injured area at this stage are ankle flexion, wound tightness, joint stiffness and muscle atrophy. In this period, the following methods can be used for functional recovery exercises. I. Early stage: static adaptive activities are the main focus 1. Press the injured part with one hand. This can play an auxiliary fixation role and can control the range of motion. Hold the foot with the other hand and gently rotate the ankle joint up, down, left and right. Through dorsiflexion, flexion and medial and lateral turning, slowly pull the medial and lateral ligaments of the foot to improve the flexibility of the joint. 2.Press the palm of one hand downward near the ankle joint of the injured leg, hold the sole of the foot with the other hand and push upward, pulling the Achilles tendon slowly and forcefully with both hands at the same time. 3.With the help of crutches, let the foot touch the ground and walk, and gradually apply force. Repeat the exercise in motion and static. 4, supine, do the legs straight knee or bending knee collection, leg lifting exercises to improve the muscle strength of the legs. Second, medium-term: to increase the injured foot in the state of stress, static and dynamic exercises 1, sitting or standing, both legs straight, toes slowly force upward, do flexion and extension of the ankle action. Stretching the Achilles tendon can improve the active contraction ability of muscles and ligaments. 2, sitting on a chair, thighs and calves at an angle of 90 degrees, both hands press hard on the thigh of the injured foot, so that the heel of the injured foot is close to the ground. 3.Extend the injured foot forward, arch the leg, hold the thigh with your hand, and shift the body weight forward so that the ankle is under pressure. Gradually narrow the angle between the leg and the back of the foot, expand the range of motion of the joint and stretch the Achilles tendon. 4, two hands on the wall, two feet together, do double, single-leg bending and stretching action. This action can stretch the Achilles tendon and improve the bearing capacity of the injured foot and the flexibility of the ankle joint. The distance between the foot and the wall can be gradually increased. 5.Open both feet left and right, behind both hands, press the body weight to the injured foot elastic front, slowly downward to do continuous squatting action, expand the range of motion of the front and back of the ankle joint, stretch the Achilles tendon, enhance the bearing capacity of the injured ankle, and improve leg strength. Third, later stage: improve muscle endurance, mainly dynamic exercises 1, walk more outdoors, in the process of walking, improve the coordination of the Achilles tendon force, restore the activity function of the injured foot. 2.Do more up and down stairs exercises to improve the support and leg strength of the injured foot, so that the movements become more and more coordinated. 3.Strengthen the standardized movement exercises to restore the function to the normal state.
