Medication is not generally recommended preoperatively, but in cases of severe lesions where surgery is expected to be difficult, gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists (GnRH-a) may be applied briefly for 3 months preoperatively. The aim of the medication is to reduce the size of the lesion and reduce pelvic congestion, which may reduce the difficulty of surgery to some extent and improve the safety of the procedure.
