Patients with cerebral thrombosis sleeping all the time may be related to the site of cerebral thrombosis, or it may be caused by cerebral edema, crashing pneumonia, and so on.
1. Site of cerebral thrombosis: If cerebral thrombosis occurs in the brainstem site, it may lead to damage of the brainstem reticularis superior activation system, which affects the level of consciousness, and thus may lead to sleeping all the time.
2. Cerebral edema: usually due to cerebral thrombosis leading to massive cerebral infarction, there is obvious cerebral edema, which may also affect the level of consciousness and lead to sleeping all the time.
3. Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia: usually due to the severity of cerebral thrombosis, resulting in paralysis and bed-ridden, it is likely to be combined with serious infections, such as pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, and the emergence of hypoxemia, which further affects the blood supply to the brain, thus resulting in the emergence of the situation of sleeping all the time.
