Why cardia cancer cannot be operated

Cardia cancer is one of the common malignant tumors, and surgery is recognized as the preferred method for patients without distant lymph node and abdominal organ metastases, in fair general condition, and without major cardiopulmonary or serious comorbidities of other organs. Surgery cannot be used if there are distant metastases of cardia cancer or if the patient is older or has serious underlying diseases. The risk of surgery is greatly increased in older patients and those with underlying diseases, and surgical treatment cannot prolong the patient’s life and may even cause life-threatening conditions. Advanced cardia cancer usually has distant metastasis and spread, so surgery is less likely, and the patient’s physical condition needs to be evaluated. If the patient is in good health and can tolerate chemotherapy, most of the lesions can be eliminated through chemotherapy, while biological cellular immunotherapy can be used to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and enhance the therapeutic effect, pay attention to a light diet and proper rest. If the patient’s physique is poor and cannot tolerate the side effects of chemotherapy, only relatively mild therapies with few side effects can be used to control the development of the disease, improve the patient’s quality of life and prolong the survival period, such as the use of biological cell immunotherapy, heat therapy and Chinese herbal medicine. At the same time, patients should maintain a good state of mind, appropriate exercise, positive and optimistic attitude to help the treatment, so patients should not give up hope.
