How to do astigmatism and myopia

Myopia usually refers to the inability of the eyes to see distant objects, while astigmatism is a kind of refractive irregularity of the eyes, which may be caused by congenital causes or by bad eye habits later in life. If this happens, it is recommended to go to the ophthalmology department of the hospital for an optometric examination to determine the degree of astigmatism axial and whether myopia is real or pseudophakic, and then to determine whether to fit glasses. Patients with astigmatism have blurred vision in the distance or near. Usually, if the astigmatism is above 75°, they need to wear different cylindrical lenses for correction according to the type and degree of astigmatism; for irregular astigmatism, they can wear corneal contact lenses for correction; for adults over 18 years old, high astigmatism can undergo keratoconus surgery if the eye condition allows. If astigmatism is accompanied by myopia, it is recommended to take timely treatment to avoid deepening myopia, blurred vision and visual fatigue. It is also important to prevent astigmatism and myopia in daily life. It is recommended to have regular eye examinations, once or twice a year; to develop good habits; not to touch your eyes with your hands; to choose a well-lit place when studying or working and to adopt the correct posture; and to relax your eyes after one hour of continuous study and work. In conclusion, patients with astigmatism and myopia are recommended to go to the hospital for examination first and then treatment.
