Is astigmatism 100 degrees serious?

Astigmatism is a relatively common condition in ophthalmology. According to the classification standard of astigmatism, astigmatism of 100 degrees is mild and usually does not affect vision and therefore is not very serious. Once astigmatism is detected, one should go to an ophthalmologist for an optometric examination to clarify whether the patient’s degree of astigmatism affects vision. If the astigmatism is mild and does not affect vision, there is no need to treat it or wear glasses at this time, and regular review is sufficient. It is important to maintain good eye habits and avoid overuse of the eyes in normal life. If astigmatism is serious and affects your vision, distortion and deformation, you need treatment and can correct it by wearing glasses. If you usually use your eyes excessively, it will also aggravate astigmatism, so pay attention to healthy eye use. If you use your eyes for a long time, you can look into the distance, do eye exercises or use eye drops to relieve eye fatigue.
