What are the characteristics of toothache caused by heart disease?

Heart disease such as coronary heart disease causing acute angina or causing acute myocardial infarction may cause cardiogenic toothache. This pain is usually sudden and the patient cannot specify which tooth is in pain and there is basically no lesion of the tooth tissue or periodontal tissue in this type of toothache. Usually the use of painkillers is not effective, but the toothache disappears after measures to treat heart disease, such as taking nitroglycerin. This type of toothache requires vigilance and should be treated promptly.
