What should I do if my child has a toothache?

If the pain is due to food being stuffed between the teeth, flossing or other tools can be used to pick out the food from the teeth to relieve the pain; if it is a growing tooth pain, it is a normal growth and development phenomenon and attention should be paid to oral hygiene and careful brushing of the teeth.
However, most toothaches in children are caused by caries, so early onset can be closed and cavities can be filled and repaired; if the toothache is caused by dental trauma, cold saline can be used to temporarily relieve the pain and then seek medical attention as soon as possible.
