The common causes of lower eyelid redness in children are eye trauma, allergy, conjunctivitis and mydriasis. Ocular trauma has a clear history of trauma and is easily diagnosed. Allergic, on the other hand, has a history of allergy to food and medication, with discomfort such as itchy eyes, generalized itching, pimples, and diarrhoea. Conjunctivitis is associated with discomfort such as foreign body sensation in the eye, photophobia, pruritus and lacrimation. Maculopathy is an acute purulent inflammatory condition and is easily differentiated.
