Surgery is not the preferred treatment for connective tissue external haemorrhoids and patients should prioritise non-surgical treatment. Non-surgical treatment includes daily life modification, medication, etc. Patients whose symptoms are not effectively relieved after non-surgical treatment can be removed by external haemorrhoidectomy or external haemorrhoidectomy with sutures.
