What are the symptoms of narcolepsy?

The main symptom of narcolepsy is drowsiness, which is not limited by time or place, and will fall asleep without warning, along with symptoms such as memory loss, depression, extreme fatigue, and difficulty concentrating and paying attention. Different types of narcolepsy may have specific clinical manifestations.
In Kleine-Levin syndrome, there is also an excessive appetite, hypersexuality and a sense of unreality, i.e. the patient’s sense of sight, hearing, smell, etc. may be abnormal or misrepresented.
Idiopathic hypersomnia can last for 12 to 14 hours and can be difficult to wake up from sleep, sometimes with symptoms of confusion.
Type 1 episodic sleeping sickness is associated with sudden collapse, whereas type 2 episodic sleeping sickness is not, but both may be accompanied by symptoms such as paralysis, hallucinations and sleep paralysis.
