Congenital squint is a deformity of the neck that is found to be tilted to one side right after birth.
It is called congenital myelomeningocele if it is due to a muscle lesion and congenital osteogenic squint if it is due to a skeletal developmental deformity. Congenital squints can be differentiated from spastic squints by their early age of onset and the absence of intermittent or continuous involuntary muscle contractions.
