Conservative treatment of necrotizing pancreatitis pseudocysts is generally more effective, but when complications occur in pseudocysts, such as: bleeding, infection, rupture, or malignant transformation, surgical drainage treatment is required. 1. Better results: pseudocysts usually appear within a few weeks after an attack of pancreatitis, and the cyst’s wall is composed of fibrous tissue, lacks epithelium, and is rich in amylase and other pancreatic enzymes. If the cyst does not have bleeding, infection, rupture and other complications, only abdominal mass or mild abdominal pain and other clinical symptoms, part of the pseudocysts can subside by themselves through conservative treatment, the prognosis is better. 2. Poor results: if the pseudocysts occur bleeding, severe abdominal pain; cyst infection leading to fever and neutrophil elevation; or cyst rupture secondary infection of the peritoneum, leading to peritonitis, these cases require surgical drainage treatment. Conservative treatment can exacerbate the progression of the disease, leading to life-threatening conditions in severe cases. Patients with necrotizing pancreatitis pseudocysts, go to a regular hospital as soon as possible, by the doctor according to the specific condition of the treatment plan, do not delay the condition, miss the treatment.
