Patients with AIDS have fair antiviral treatment efficacy and their life expectancy is the same as that of the normal population as long as they are on regular antiviral treatment and are regularly reviewed during the course of antiviral treatment. For some AIDS patients, they may have serious opportunistic infections, such as Pneumocystis pneumonia, cryptococcal meningitis, tuberculous meningitis and other complications, which may lead to death due to complications. There are also some AIDS patients who can cause various tumors, which may also lead to death. Therefore, for AIDS patients, as long as they are treated early and in a timely manner, their life expectancy is the same as that of normal people.
