Presence of HIV in saliva

Saliva generally does not contain HIV and is not sufficient to cause infection, so saliva does not transmit HIV, nor does kissing an HIV patient. These fluids include semen, prostate fluid, vaginal secretions, cervical secretions, pleural fluid, ascites, cerebrospinal fluid, breast milk, etc. Urine and feces of AIDS patients are also not infectious. Therefore, to prevent HIV infection, you should try to avoid contact between your wound and the patient’s blood and body fluids. In case of contact, the wound should be flushed promptly, and HIV-blocking drugs should be taken within 2 hours.
