Is there any adverse effect of loosening of the rectal mucosa?

Rectal mucosal laxity can cause mucosal tissue to become lodged in the anal canal, causing outlet obstruction constipation and a feeling of incomplete defecation.
If the mucosal laxity is more severe, allowing the rectum to prolapse outside the anus, the intestinal canal can become inflamed, eroded, ulcerated, bleeding, or even embedded and necrotic due to physical irritation such as perianal tissue compression and friction with clothing.
