Postprandial blood glucose generally refers to 2-hour postprandial blood glucose, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose 11.3mmol/L, if the patient at the same time has the typical symptoms of diabetes mellitus or 2-hour postprandial blood glucose ≥ 11.1mmol/L on a non-same day, then diabetes mellitus can be diagnosed. The normal 2-hour postprandial blood glucose should be less than 7.8 mmol/L. If the 2-hour postprandial blood glucose is ≥11.1 mmol/L, and if there are typical symptoms of “drinking, eating, urinating, and weight loss”, the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus can be confirmed. If there are no typical symptoms, it is recommended to go to the hospital on another day to take venous blood to review the 2-hour postprandial blood glucose, and if it is still ≥11.1mmol/L, then the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus can be made. If the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus is confirmed, it is recommended to seek medical help and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment.
