On February 14, 2012, the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery of the Hainan Branch of the PLA General Hospital, under the leadership of Director Park Dai, was the first to perform cochlear implant surgery, and the first routine surgery under general anesthesia since the opening of the branch. Under the leadership of Director Dai Park, the Hainan Branch established the Cochlear Implant Minimally Invasive Center, which has continued to grow and develop. At the beginning of 2014, Zhao Hui, deputy director of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery of the PLA General Hospital, rotated to the Hainan Branch as the department director to continue to maintain and carry forward the characteristics and advantages in the field of cochlear implantation, and the minimally invasive cochlear implant center of the Branch has completed 295 cochlear implantations from Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Henan, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Shanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Hunan The cochlear implant center has completed 295 cochlear implants from Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Henan, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Shanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong and Shaanxi, all of which have achieved good recovery results. Compared with other cochlear implantation centers, the minimally invasive surgery center of Hainan Branch has the following advantages: 1. Minimally invasive surgery: The surgery develops in the direction of more minimally invasive, with small incisions of 62.5px to 75px, intradermal sutures, and the insertion of AOS electrodes and round windows, which cause little trauma to the cochlear tissue and preserve residual hearing. The number of successful cases of preserving residual hearing is far ahead in the country. 2. High surgical safety: short surgery time, high safety, few complications, no need for secondary surgery in more than 800 cases. 3.
