Pulpitis is more difficult to examine on film alone. Clinically, chronic pulpitis may show fainter images in the periodontium and apices of the teeth, but it is also more difficult to identify. The rest, such as acute pulpitis, is difficult to see clinically because the imaging has not yet begun to manifest. Pulpitis, because its inflammation refers mainly to the inflammation in the pulp chamber, and this inflammation is shown on dental films as low-density images, both in normal pulp and in abnormal pulp. Although pulpitis is not easily seen clinically on radiographs, radiographs can reveal the causative factors that cause pulpitis. Most of the clinical pulpitis is caused by dental caries or dental defect, the caries develops step by step, from superficial caries, moderate caries, gradually develop to deep caries, further development will have obvious pain and symptoms of pulpitis. At this time, we can see the high-density shadow of the hard tissue of the tooth corresponding to the carious area on the dental film, and the low-density image of cariousness appears, which means that the tooth has developed from caries to the degree of pulpitis, and accompanied by the patient’s spontaneous pain symptoms, basically we can confirm the diagnosis of pulpitis.
