Based on different pathological features, lymphomas can be divided into two categories, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which are more common in China.
In Hodgkin’s lymphoma, the first symptom is usually enlarged lymph nodes, which develop relatively slowly and spread to adjacent lymph nodes via the lymphatic tract, often confined to lymph nodes, with extra-nodal lesions occurring later.
Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma often has extra-nodal lesions and, with the exception of inert lymphoma, progresses more rapidly, with a leapfrog pattern of lymph node spread and is less likely to be confined to a single lymph node and invade a wide area.
In addition to symptoms, the treatment and prognosis for both differ.
