Can you ignore the redness in your eyes?

Redness in the eyes from non-disease causes such as staying up all night can usually go away on its own, while redness from disease causes such as conjunctivitis needs to be treated in a timely manner.
Redness in the eyes, also known as conjunctival congestion, is caused by dilated blood vessels in the conjunctiva. Conjunctival congestion can be caused by disease or non-disease reasons.
Non-disease causes include rubbing the eyes with your hands, drinking alcohol, and staying up late at night. Conjunctival congestion caused by these conditions, if not severe, usually subsides on its own after adequate rest and cessation of bad habits.
Conjunctival congestion caused by diseases such as keratitis, bacterial conjunctivitis, allergic conjunctivitis, etc. is recommended to be treated under the guidance of a doctor in time, otherwise, the symptoms usually can not be recovered on their own without removing the cause of the disease.
