How many weeks is the best week to have a cesarean section

Planned cesarean delivery is recommended at 38-39 weeks of gestation. At 38-39 weeks of gestation, the fetal organs, especially the lungs, are mature enough to tolerate the external environment after birth, the placenta is mature at level 2+, and the amniotic fluid volume is moderate, which is the most appropriate time to choose cesarean delivery to terminate the pregnancy. Premature cesarean section is associated with the risk of immature fetal lungs, immature cervix, poor formation of the lower part of the uterus, high intraoperative bleeding and poor postoperative drainage of malignant fluid; too late surgery will gradually reduce the amount of amniotic fluid, which may lead to fetal hypoxia and other phenomena. If the mother has a history of cesarean section and myoma removal, the specific time of cesarean section should be decided based on ultrasound monitoring of the thickness of the uterine incision and the pregnant woman’s own symptoms. Due to the promotion of painless delivery, the pain of labor and delivery of pregnant women is obviously relieved. After all, there are surgical risks in cesarean delivery, and pregnant women without medical indications for surgery should be encouraged to have a normal delivery as much as possible.
