How many days do contractions hurt during a cesarean section?

The painful contractions that occur after a cesarean section usually last for 5-7 days, but the level of pain will gradually decrease as time goes on. Contractions occur after a cesarean section and serve to drain the dew and rejuvenate the uterus. Contractions can cause pain in the lower abdomen, and there are individual differences in the degree of pain. The pain is usually the most pronounced in the first 3 days after delivery, then it gradually decreases and disappears completely in about a week. In women who have had a first cesarean section, the pain caused by contractions is more pronounced as the uterus takes longer to rejuvenate. In the case of a second cesarean delivery, the degree of pain caused by contractions after delivery is reduced. Some women have poor uterine contractions and delayed uterine regeneration, which can lead to prolonged pain, but usually not more than 10 days. In addition, breastfeeding has the effect of promoting uterine regeneration. In women who have not breastfed, the pain caused by postpartum contractions is longer. It is recommended that mothers relieve pain caused by contractions by applying heat and massage after delivery.
