Recognize “allergy”, avoid “cold”

Itchy nose, nasal congestion, repeated sneezing and clear nasal mucus are seriously troubling the health and image of patients, what is going on? In autumn and winter, because of the lower temperature, it is easy to catch a cold, but if you still often have nasal congestion, nasal itching, sneezing and clear water snot in summer, you need to be alert to whether you are suffering from “allergic rhinitis”. ”Allergic rhinitis, also known as allergic rhinitis, is a metamorphic reaction in the nasal mucosa due to increased sensitivity of the body to certain allergens, and is closely related to the occurrence of asthma. Common allergens include dust mites, pollen, fungi, animal fur, seafood, eggs, etc. In recent years, the incidence of allergic rhinitis has been increasing significantly”. The World Allergy Organization (WAO) survey shows that 22% of people suffer from allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, conjunctivitis, eczema, etc. If allergic rhinitis is not treated, 25-38% will develop into asthma and eventually become perennial asthma, emphysema and pulmonary heart disease. The World Health Organization (WHO) also estimates that more than 180,000 people die from asthma each year. Allergen testing is important in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of allergic rhinitis. The allergen skin prick test (SPT) is recommended by the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) as the best in vivo diagnostic method because of its safety, convenience, high sensitivity, rapidity (15 minutes for results), and low patient pain; the serum specific IgE test (S-IgE) is performed by drawing venous blood and combined with the skin prick test to improve diagnostic accuracy. The treatment of allergic rhinitis follows the principle of laddering, and prevention of exposure to allergens becomes the primary link. Immunotherapy (desensitization) is the only treatment recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) that can “root out” allergic diseases from their causes, reduce the symptoms of rhinitis and allergic diseases such as asthma, reduce the intake of drugs, and prevent the irreversible change from allergic rhinitis to asthma. The benefits are lifelong. The benefits are lifelong.
