In addition to the usual physical examination, laboratory tests such as routine blood tests, urine tests, discharge tests and pathogenic cultures will be chosen as appropriate. If a tumour is suspected, a biopsy will be taken from the lesion and sent for pathological examination to determine the nature of the lesion. If necessary, imaging tests such as ultrasound, CT or MRI may also be performed.
