Can an OB check for all the problems with the fetus?

Maternity tests do not screen for all problems in the fetus. Chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus can be checked during the maternity test by Down’s syndrome, non-invasive DNA, amniocentesis test, etc., such as checking the risk of trisomy 21-trisomy, trisomy 18 and trisomy 13. Three-dimensional and four-dimensional ultrasound can check for structural and organ abnormalities of the fetus, and the basic development of the fetus can be checked by ordinary ultrasound. Tests during labor and delivery can detect some major malformations of the fetus and the condition of the amniotic fluid and placenta, but the labor and delivery test is only a screening test, which can only detect the vast majority of malformations that may occur in the fetus, and some rare problems are generally difficult to detect. Even so, the chances of a rare problem occurring are relatively small, and labor tests are still able to rule out most abnormalities, so pregnant women should still have regular labor tests.
