The only way to get rid of myopia is through surgery. Surgery for myopia is a routine procedure in ophthalmology, and there are two main types of surgery, depending on the surgical method. The first type, corneal refractive surgery, is performed by changing the radius of curvature or thickness of the cornea to treat myopia, including excimer laser surgery and femtosecond laser surgery. The second type, intraocular refractive surgery, is performed by implanting an intraocular lens to change the refractive state of the eye, thereby correcting myopia, and currently includes IOL implantation for crystalline eyes or lens replacement. All of these methods can be used to correct myopia and allow myopic patients to remove their glasses, and all have excellent results.
