For recurrent fever caused by tumours, the first step is to cool the body physically, such as cold towels on the forehead or ice packs placed on the forehead, back of the occipital area, neck, armpits and groin, or ice blankets or 75% ethanol baths; also, medications such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen can be taken to cool the body. Usually the doctor will treat the tumour with a combination of treatments, such as local radiotherapy, surgery and chemotherapy, depending on the condition of the patient.
