What are the symptoms of tonsillitis other than recurrent fever?

Tonsillitis is a common upper respiratory tract infection caused by a variety of pathogenic microorganisms, both acute and chronic. Acute tonsillitis has a rapid onset and is accompanied by chills, high fever (up to 39-40°C), vomiting, lethargy, loss of appetite and general aches and pains, in addition to repeated fevers. Chronic patients often have a sore throat, dry cough, bad breath, indigestion, fatigue and headache, which can develop from the acute phase.
