Keratoplasty is a non-surgical myopia corrective nighttime wearable gas permeable rigid corneal contact lenses, which originated in the United States and has been applied in more than 30 countries around the world after 50 years of development. It has been used in many countries around the world. The treatment is done by wearing the lenses at night, and the lenses or low prescription frames during the daytime. During the wearing period, the development of myopia can be controlled to a certain extent, and at the same time, it can also satisfy the requirements of some special occupations (such as athletes, divers, pilots, actors, students, military personnel and so on) on the distance vision. The Ophthalmology Department of Fujian Second People’s Hospital has been fitting keratoplasty lenses since 2000, and has rich experience in fitting keratoplasty lenses. The effect of this technology on myopia correction is similar to the effect of laser surgery, but the difference with laser surgery is that the effect produced by keratoplasty is temporary, and it is a non-surgical removal of framed spectacles as an effective and reversible treatment method.
