Why the bloodletting?

Bloodletting is also known as the three-pronged needle method in acupuncture, mainly to achieve the purpose of activating the meridians and channels, opening the orifices and diarrhea, harmonizing qi and blood, and eliminating swelling and relieving pain, and specifically puncture bloodletting, puncture bloodletting, and so on.
Point prick bloodletting is a three-pronged needle quickly stabbed into the acupoints to release a small amount of blood or squeeze out a small amount of mucus, this method is mostly used for the end of the fingers, toes and head, ear such as the ten Xuan, twelve wells points, the Hall of Indies, save the bamboo, the tip of the ear and other points.
Bloodletting is a method of releasing appropriate amount of blood by stabbing superficial blood channels (veins) with three-pronged needles, which is mostly used for points such as Quzhe, Huizhong or veins in the lower legs for treating acute vomiting and diarrhea, heatstroke, fever, varicose veins and so on.
In general, blood-letting with three-pronged needles is mainly used for all kinds of solid evidence, heat, blood stasis, pain or certain acute and chronic diseases, such as fainting, high fever, stroke closure, acute sore throat, sunstroke and so on.
The method is not suitable for the weak, pregnant women, postpartum and those with bleeding tendency.
It should be noted that the acupuncture operation must be carried out by a professional acupuncturist, and should not be self-operated to avoid injury.
