Patients with paraplegia, quadriplegia, hemiplegia, and vegetative state should avoid the bedridden state and perform assisted standing training, the significance of which is summarized as follows: 1. Improve cardiopulmonary function and prevent crushing pneumonia and postural body pressure. 2.Passive standing of paraplegic patients will well prevent complications such as osteoporosis, stones, heterotopic ossification, urinary tract infection and deep vein thrombosis if they accumulate up to 3 hours per day. 3. Weight-bearing training of the affected lower limb in hemiplegic patients can promote the recovery of lower limb proprioception and facilitate the improvement of gait.
