What are the common causes of hematuria

Ninety-five to 98% of hematuria is caused by urological diseases. Among primary glomerular diseases, there are some in which hematuria is the main clinical manifestation, such as nephropathy, thin basement membrane nephropathy, and acute nephritis. Another type of hematuria is its main clinical manifestation, such as in chronic nephritis, patients whose case type is diffuse proliferative glomerulonephritis or membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis often have clinical manifestations of hematuria, either microscopic hematuria or episodic meatus hematuria. Among the secondary glomerular diseases, the disease with hematuria as the main clinical manifestation is purpura nephritis. Among the hereditary renal diseases, the diseases causing hematuria are polycystic kidney.
