What’s missing from loose teeth

Loose teeth are not missing anything, mainly due to trauma, periodontal disease and root fracture and other possibilities.

1. Trauma: there is usually a clear history of trauma, which can be clearly diagnosed after taking radiographs; fracture of the apical 1/3 of the root can usually be retained, while fracture of the middle of the root and cervical part of the tooth usually needs to be extracted.

2. Periodontal disease: it is the most common cause of tooth loosening, mainly due to plaque and other causes of alveolar bone resorption, resulting in loosening; periodontal sequential treatment is required, and if the effect is not good, then direct extraction.

3. Root fracture: due to occlusal trauma and other reasons, often manifested as loosening and occlusal pain, which can be clearly diagnosed by imaging this examination; usually need to be extracted.

The most common prevention of dental disease is regular checkups and gingival cleaning, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital stomatology department.
