How is cervical spondylosis caused?

There are many causes of cervical spondylosis. In general, from the mechanical point of view, it is the degeneration of the cervical disc due to improper force on the neck, and after the degeneration, it compresses the relevant important tissues and causes a series of symptoms. What does the improper force include? For example, improper lying posture, sleeping posture, unsuitable pillow height, long-term ambulation. Because the physiological curvature of the cervical spine is the same as the physiological curvature of the lumbar spine, both are the manifestation of protrusion. In fact, the force on the lumbar and cervical spine is theoretically the same, such as long-term head down, whether it is the cervical or lumbar spine, the force on it is a bad force, sitting posture is very important. Long-term head down to look at the computer, look at the cell phone, resulting in excessive strain on the muscles around the cervical spine, holding force is not enough, the intervertebral disc began to degenerate, followed by compression of the neurovascular and spinal cord, resulting in the occurrence of nerve root type or spinal cord type, vertebral artery type cervical spondylosis. Therefore, bad posture is the most common cause of cervical spondylosis, and prolonged ambulation is also the most common cause of cervical spondylosis.
